"I regret it." - HP:DH by MaRaMa-TSG "I regret it." - HP:DH by MaRaMa-TSG
**MEGA SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE NOR READ THE BOOKS. Though if you haven;t then you're most likely not a fan and thus not care about spoilers.**

-----------------
"The Elder Wand cannot serve me properly, Severus, because I am not its true master. The Elder Wand belongs to the wizard who killed its last owner. You killed Albus Dumbledore. While you live, Severus, the Elder Wand cannot truly be mine."

And Voldemort swiped the air with the Elder Wand. It did nothing to Snape, who for a split second seemed to think he had been reprieved: but then Voldemort's intention became clear. The snake's cage was rolling through the air, and before Snape could do anything more than yell, it had encased him, head and shoulders, and Voldemort spoke in Parseltongue.

"Kill."

There was a terrible scream. Harry saw Snape's face losing the little color it had left; it whitened as his black eyes widened, the snake's fangs pierced his neck, as he failed to push the enchanted cage off himself, as his knees gave way and he fell to the floor.

"I regret it," said Voldemort coldly.

He turned away; there was no sadness in him, no remorse. It was time to leave this shack and take charge, with a wand that would now do his full bidding. He pointed it at the starry cage holding the snake, which drifted upward, off Snape, who fell sideways onto the floor, blood gushing from the wounds in his neck. Voldemort swept from the room without a backward glance, and the great serpent floated after him in it's huge protective sphere.

-----------------

(Oh, and we, Severus Snape fans, regret it even more. Believe me...)

Firstly:
:icongenocyber: you were right. My art-block must have been stress and my work had me under constant stress for one reason or another. Now that I'm "on vacation" I've started drawing easier again.

I'm very happy it came out just as I envisioned it in my head and that eventhough I didn't color it as I wanted to at least I did it in greyscale. Hope it's not too confusing.
The idea actually came while watching the movie at the scene we Snape fans hate the most. But instead I wanted to draw the scene from the book for some reason.

Omg. This is brilliant. Snape's expression, and the hand, and the blood, and Voldemort's back and the sphere (presumably with Nagini)... Amazing!

Thank you~ Why presumably? Is Nagini hard to see? Or maybe I curled her too tightly?

Too tightly curled up. I assumed it was a random scribble, only now I see it's her.

Yeah, I hate it too. I think that's why I had to draw this. Every time I watch this part in the movie I cry so I sort of wanted to get it out of my system.

I also like to think he survived somehow and so love reading fics about all the different ways it could happen.

It's just so unfair. Rowling talks about redemption. I just see complete cruelty and unfairness in life. Is not like he will get Lily when he goes to heaven, she already has James there with her. Redemption would have been surviving to start over and find someone new or even if he stays alone at least be free to do whatever the hell he -wants- with his life.

But coming from someone who killed half the cast and leaving yet another child orphaned (Lupin and Tonks kid) what would you expect?

The best choice she had was ask Alan Rickman to play Snape! His voice did wonders for the character even if his age didn't exactly help. Poor guy must have so much make up to try and cover his age.

yea, that must be true, and he looks so different with out the black wig. Alan Rickman really was the perfect Snape, and to think he almost didn't play the role in the begging. Alan did snape wonders, watching\reading his death alwas makes me cry, i think in an interview said snape must known what was going to happen, and how snape was to flim it, to protray snape

Oh and Alan was also chubby. He gained weight throughout the series. Was thinner in the first money, showing deliciously broad shoulders and trim waist in his fight with Lockheart, but then he started getting a gut. He does mention in another interview how Snape's clothes kept getting tighter and tighter. XD
They were loose in DH. And the CGI for the past scene did wonders for him too. Skinny and young. He actually looked gorgeous! XP

Yes, Alan knew from the very beginning about Lily. And now that I watch the movies again, you can see the subtle hints in his expressions about it. And in Deathly Hallows (1 and 2) I love how he makes Snape behave like he's regretting everything. Heck, when he killed Dumbledore he looked shocked and sad. When the teacher dangling over the Death Eater's table said they were friend Snape looked helpless. All subtle eye expressions. Sad that he had to watch her die. And him having eye shadow to show sunken eyes and I noticed his robes were dirty and, not 100% sure, but also torn as well as his hair being a mess to show the stress he was going through. Then the fight with Minerva, how he hesitates when she steps in front of him to defend Harry. He doesn't want to attack her. And I really like how in the movie they only made him defend from her but never really attack back (though it would have been epic if they did show the fight like it was in the book). I noticed 2 days ago on my third watching in the DVD that Snape purposedly redirects her attacks at the Carrows behind him. it looks more like they get hit by the backlash but if you pay attention you see Snape pointing his wand back at each of them in less than a second. He did it in purpose.

Oh and how Alan slightly changed his dying dialogue and his expressions as he said it. God I cried so much the moment he look so pained and when he added "You got your mothers eyes." Always gets me every time. And oh God, when they show him finding Lily dead. THAT part had half the cinema sniffling. I know I was holding back a wail when they showed him cradling Lily to him. How I wanted to see that! Since reading the book I kept my fingers crossed so they added that very exact scene! So perfect, and Alan did wonderful job at it.

So this drawing, although it was representing the book scene instead, has the emotions from the movie as I drew it, as I got the idea while watching it. So people can sort of mix them. Picture the book part but then change to the movie for the new dialogue with Harry.

god your right. it had me crying so badly in the ceimmes. when he's holding lily and cradling her. in the moives i hate how they didn't have all of his memroies, got to me, but the one's they did have got to me.....alot.

I also noticed Snape was gainig some wight, but you know, he stilled looked good. I think the moives wouldn't have done as good if Alan didn't play snape. Yea, your right when i 1st saw the moive and how snape said, you have your mother's eyes. it got to me, and i just tryed not to wail.

One thing that got me mad, in the moives you never knew of teddy, Remuis, and Tonks son and how harry was the god father, and who harry basicly rasied him

You're right about Teddy, but the movie did ommit many things. Changed stuff. Since they tried to fit long books into short movies. I actually started reading them after the fifth movie, when the DH book came out. My cousin had unknowingly reserved two copies and gave me one, so I asked him to lend me the sixth book before I read DH to know what happens before and he gave me the fifth for myself as it was softcover and he'd been collecting them in hardcover. So that was the first I read and found out that the fifth book was the longest yet the fifth movie was the shortest. So after that I started comparing movies and books.
Peeves didn't exist in the movies at all and many things Dobby did were done by other students in the movies and other things that simply didn't happen. In fact, the DH movie, I felt was really more of a companion for the book. For those who hadn't read them it left many unanswered questions. I found myself explaining many things to some friends of mine and while watching the movie with one I kept whispering things they changed or didn't add and Teddy was one of them. He was shocked when I said they just left a kid orphaned. So now he's always asking me about the books. XD

Also since I showed him this drawing he asked me to tell him about it from the book today when we meet to go out.

Oh, I just learned to do a watermark in OC. It's simple enough. I'll try to make a tutorial for you or at least write down the steps for you. Do you know how to add text to pics with the program?

I never even know you could even do that with the program. I thought you had to use Photoshop.

I have version 4.5e Plus. It has the text option and that's all you really need. What version you have?

Well, a simple explanation is to write what you want the watermark to say in a separate layer on top of the drawing and make it as transparent as you wish by lowering the opacity. So never mind all those extra details like giving it a glow or a 3D effect. Learn how to write text and how to make it transparent.

It's easier in PS than oC but you can do it in both. And looking around I just learned of a way to set PS so now I just have to press ctrl+shift+F9 to paste the watermark, then just resize and move around as desired.

Since I already knew how to make text and add effects to it I only read from step 3 on.

You can always download a newer version from a torrent. Doesn't have to be 4, could be lower. I think every paid version has the text option. Or maybe there's even a new one.

Anyway, ANY program that has text and the ability to make a layer transparent can make you an easy watermark.
